Abby's Musical Deserts

Of course, soundcard is required
and all this is old stuff, but it still works. You must use Netscape
Navigator or MS Internet Explorer. Then you click on a number and another
smaller browser window opens. The tune loads. Some of the longer tunes take
almost a minute sometimes. Then the tune will play repeatedly, until you close
the smaller window. Then you may select another tune. While the music is
playing, you may go anywhere else you want on the NET, and the music still
plays. The original, larger browser window also displays a Crescendo control
panel. To get back to the music page, hit the back function on your browser.
Hey, you can even go to the bathroom if you want. Email me if you have any
comments, suggestions, complaints, or one or more tunes don't work.
The script to generate proper tags for MIDI playing, preferably with
Crescendo, is used on this page with permission. Note: spaces inside quotes
*are* significant and should not be deleted. Version 1.2. Copyright (C) 1996, 1997 LiveUpdate division of LABTECH. Permission for use granted to all music lovers
on the net. Now including playlist & other Crescendo Version 3.0 support.
Newer versions may apply.
Note: I verified that this script works on Netscape 4.04, 4.05, and MS Internet
Explorer 4.01. It is supposed to work for Netscape Navigator 2.0 and MS
Internet Explorer 2.0 and above, but this is a beta and results may vary.
Without Crescendo, the tunes still play, but you must use whatever is set by the
browser to play tunes. I assume you know how to use your browser's default midi
player. I cannot cover all the different possibilities here. Sorry.
 Crescendo by
LiveUpdate! If you have it, this
is an old graphic to explain each control. If you don't have it, go there to
download it. It's free! Note that this control panel graphic is not
functional other than to take you to the Crescendo web site. Plus, just to set
the record set, this graphic is from Crescendo. I am not that talented to do
the above graphic. Maybe someday, when I learn more about graphics!

Disciple is not superior to teacher, nor slave to master. It is enough for
disciple to grow to be like teacher, and slave like master. If they have called
the master of the house “Beelzebub”, how much more the members of his
household?
