Synopsis

Terri A. Hateley's poetry collection is a reflection of her life and emotions, especially in relationships. This collection is Terri's best work to date and should be in everyone's library.


About the author

Terri in her own words: My first efforts at writing poetry, began for me in my forties. After twenty years of alcoholism I decided to become a living being again. In December 1993 I began looking at the world through 'sober' eyes and the results are found in my poetry. I write of my feelings, when I feel them. In 1994, I wrote only one poem which reflects the depression I was feeling as a newly sober individual.

When returning to high school as a mature age student In 1994 & 1995, I connected with the power and understanding in words and learned to love and appreciate them. Most of my poetry in 1997/98 is based on the loss of my parents and the loves and losses of cyber-lovers who have come and gone like the breeze. I wouldn't call myself fickle, just too trusting for my own good. I feel the experiences are good subjects for my poetry.
