Types of artistic works: We accept and sell novels, poetry collections, novellas, short story collections, photographic galleries [no porn], art collections [any electronic type], software collections, java applet collections, or any artistic works that can be sold electronically.
How do you read/view/execute HTML versions of artistic works? At this site you will receive a single zipped file. It will have the format of "filename.zip". You need a zip application to unzip a zip file. Find the index.htm file or the file that appears to be the beginning of the work. It should be obvious, but not foolproof :-) There may be a readme text file with further information. All our works allow for one complete printing, but can be viewed using your favorite browser offline preferably [faster] or online. If you should have problems, questions, or need any help, email us or call (305) 743-9648 for voice/fax/data communications.
We are now publishing new artworks in the PDF format and zipping that file for easy delivery. You must have a windows-based PC to use this file. Once you have downloaded the zip file, place it in its own folder. Use an unzip utility like the evaluation copy that you can download free at http://www.winzip.com. Use Acrobat Reader [Free Acrobat Reader] to view the novel. If you have any problems whatsoever, please email us. Be sure to remember your customer ticket or order number for each sale as that is what we use to track charges.
How do you write novels? Click the text link for advice from a real, live author who is published and ought to know. Use browser back function to return to this page. Please do come back and buy something. :-)
Credit/Debit Cards/PayPal? Yes, we accept credit/debit cards and PayPal. Once you know what you want, click the Credit/Debit Card/PayPal link at the bottom of almost any page.
Affiliate/Reseller Programs: Go here for all the information.
Our return policy: From the time of purchase when you filled out the order form, you have seventy-two hours to cancel your order via e-mail. After that seventy-two hours, your order stands. Why? We deal in creative property. Once you read it, you could say you are not satisfied and ask for a refund. While that works for physical items, it does NOT work for the sale of electronic items like an electronic HTML novel. If you have any questions or need any help, email us or call (305) 743-9648.
How do you get a copyright? You promise to come back and buy something, right? Okay. Go to US Library of Congress Copyright Office or similar organization in your country. Read and study. Printout and save the forms you will need. The Copyright Office provides [free] the Acrobat viewer for the forms if you don't have one. 90% of artistic works can use Short Form TX with instructions, but the website explains what forms for what simply and clearly. Fill out the form[s] and include a check for $35 [government price subject to change] for each artistic work or collection, complete copy of each work, and the completed forms in a big envelope and send to the address listed on the form. Wait a couple months [this is the government, remember?] and you will get a certificate back stating your copyright. It will be the form you filled out, so be neat with your form[s]. After the check clears, you may state that your copyrights are pending. It is that easy! Proofreaders Area What are proofreaders? Proofreaders are volunteers who proof artworks in progress. It is like beta testing. The only advantages of being a proofreader is the attribution in any published work the proofreader was involved in and getting to read material before it is published and hopefully becomes terribly famous. The proofreader pays no money nor receives any. Proofreaders do get free copies of the items listed under "proofreader's" in the Order Form. Check that web page to see if any artworks are in progress. How do you become a proofreader's? Email the Proofreaders Manager and provide your name, email address, and why you want to be a proofreader. Please do not apply if you are not going to devote some time to this. All proofreaders must sign and abide by a nondisclosure agreement. All that means is that you will NOT tell anyone about anything you read, study, proofread, see, etc. until AFTER the work is published. Communicate: You may get to talk with authors as literary projects progress. Most likely it will be via email. Please keep the topic to your proofreader duties. The authors have precious little time and much too many deadlines. Your understanding is appreciated. How do proofreaders get latest versions? New proofreaders will be provided the material as to the prior agreement between the bookstore and new proofreaders. Existing proofreaders should get updated material periodically but not later than every two months. If that has not happened, contact us please. | |
