Synopsis THE TRAIN by Clara Jones © Australian Copyright 1999 - 2007, 2008 Alison Johnson
Everyday, millions of people around the world catch trains to go to work. They stand in the morning fresh air wondering what the day will bring them, not thinking that anything would stop them from getting to work that morning except for the usual lateness that tends to happen from time to time. But what would happen if you never made it?
You find yourself in the darkness, wondering why you can't move, the last sound that you heard was a screeching sound like a lobster heading into boiling water. Are you asleep and dreaming? Or is the numbness in your legs telling you that things aren't what they should be?
The Train is a story about a group of people who start their day with their own set of problems and thoughts, only to find themselves in a train crash of four piled- up trains who thought they could all get to the same platform first. How they survive and react and how they get through that morning keeps you reading from beginning to end. After this, will you ever get on a train again? Would you dare?
